What is Blog?

We all well aware about what is website!. Web site is nothing but the pages stored in the webserver and those informative pages are accessible to the world world through internet. So what would be definiation of Blog?. The word blog is a contraction of the term weblog. It means that regular log details on web in different catagories.

Individual maintains the blog with regular updates of commentary, events description, political opinions, Tips, Guides, Collection of books, Business tips and tricks, The entries in the blog are displayed in chronological order which means the recent posts are updated on the top and older entries are arranged towards the bottom.

Layout

The layout is the main part in blog where it decides how your blog pages look. You can design your layout with your own internet technologies like Html, Xml, Php etc to design your layout. You can header, sidebar, post body, footer and comments placed on it exact position. It helps to design your appearance and you can place the accessories as you like.

Posts

Posts are nothing but the entries or contents which needs to published on blog with regular intervals. The posts are related contents updated with formatted text, images, videos and audios. These posts are arranged in the post body section of your blog. The post entries are arranged in a chronical order where the recent posts are updated in the top and old entries are arranged towards bottom. You can also control number of posts needs to be displaced on the blog pages.

Comments

The visitors or viewers are allowed to update their comments on blog. That may be the difference between normal blog and websites. Viewers can question the author for appreciation or clarification on it contents. The comments option gives more interaction between the author and viewers.

Sidebar

Sidebar menus are helpful to place the any import links to the viewers. It really helps the viewer to navigate things from one section to another section and also it can contain lot of storage links with it.

Archives

The wholse number of entries in the blog post entries are stored by datewise. The Archive option helps to navigate the posts based on its entry.
