Installation of WAMP Server

WAMP Server is used for web page developement which allows to create to web application. It also comes with phpMYAdmin, mySQL which helps easily to manage all your web applications.

As i mentioned earlier you can download and install the WAMP server in your computer to execute your php programs. Here we will see the steps to download and install.

1. You need to decide it first which software you need to use. If you are decided to use WAMP server just search in the google as download WAMP server or you can directly go to the WAMP server website. i.e ttp://www.wampserver.com/en/

You can get the file called wampserver.exe

2. Just double click the exe file and continue the further steps as default. You may need to select the destination folder where you want to store all your files.

3. Restart your computer after the installation and then just start your wamp server by selecting Start >> Programs >> WAMP Server >> Start WAMP Server.

4. You can find the below icon in the task bar which shows some processing in it and then it becomes normal. If it looks normal means that all the configuration or services are working fine else there may be problem with your software or the services. You need find it out where things went wrong.



5. Just left click the icon in the task bar you can find the below screen.


You can click http://localhost to access your home page of apache server. It also helps to start, stop and restart the services when required. It also help to browse through the other softwares PhpmyAdmin, mySQL, Apache service.
